To Join Our Family:

Make sure this is something you want to do! We want you to join our family but we want you to be prepared for what it takes to be a part of this great group of men and women. This is a very serious decision to make, it will take time away from family and other activities that you already have going on. We will expect hard work and dedication from you. We are not a club!

  • Firefighter

  • Wildland Firefighter

  • Driver

  • Emergency Medical Responder

  • Support Staff (One Scene / Office)

  • Juniors (16-18 with parental consent)

Each position requires some type of training. Once you decide what you can offer, the Fire Chief will go over it with you to advise you of what training is required. After making the decision to join, download our application below. Once you have filled out the application, you may submit it to Chief Day at Station 91 (67 Fire Department Avenue).

The Argyle Fire Department Board of Directors meet every first Monday of each month. You will need to attend this meeting to have an interview with the Fire Chief and board members.  If you are approved after a vote you will be asked to start your probationary training which is no less than 90 days. If you are not voted in for whatever reason the night of the meeting you will be advised of the vote. The probationary period will have the training you will need to begin responding to calls. You will need to attend training that are provided.
